You know who's awesome?! - #5

Love him, or dislike him greatly, you got to respect Peyton Manning.  Peyton has become quite possibly my favorite player to watch, root for, and look up to.  No matter what the outcome on Sunday, I will definitely be proud of this quarterback.  He's had a record-breaking season and has maintained a level head the entire time.  

"I try to do my job each week, whether that's the regular season or playoffs.  Everybody's got to do their part.  To win in these situations, it's gotta be a team win.  I'm counting on everybody to do their role.  And I've got to do my part." ~ Peyton Manning

Peyton knows he's not the only one who brought the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl XLVIII.  It was the effort of every player on the team.  That's what makes Peyton so great.  It's his integrity and determination.

Again, win or lose this Sunday, I'm extremely proud of this guy.  He is creating his own legacy, something we should all consider doing.

Real Heroes are Ordinary People who Choose to be Extraordinary

I think it's easy to forget the power we possess.  Within each and everyone of us is the power to choose.  We choose our attitude.  We choose our goals.  We choose how we want to impact the world.  One of the quotes that comes to my mind a lot lately comes from Robin Williams in the movie the Dead Poets Society.  "The powerful play goes on, and you can contribute a verse.  What will your verse be?"

Remember, "Ordinary people change the world."  That's you and me.  We just have to choose how we want to.  We have to choose to be extraordinary.

Take Flight!

Let's face it: we all want to fly.  And we all fall.  But that's how we grow stronger.

The past two years have been incredibly challenging.  Some of the things I have faced have been some of the most difficult things I have ever had to deal with.  Someday, I will speak more to those challenges in hopes to encourage others through their tough times.  But I will say that it is through these challenges that I am learning more about myself, what it is I wish to accomplish, and what direction I need to go.  Although I continue to face some of these challenges, I'm here to say that I am moving forward.  Let this be a statement that I can cling to and refer back on as I move forward.  I can no longer wait for perfect conditions; I have to take flight now.  I'm going to start listening to my own message and hope that I can inspire others along the way.

SuperTeeJ Returns.  I've got some goals I want to accomplish and some things I have been called to do.  And in pursuit of my goals and dreams, I ask for your support and encouragement along the way.  As I go, I hope to inspire those around me and make a lasting impact.  Stay tuned and seek out my blog for inspiration, encouragement, and insight.

Sum Up My Personal Philosophy...

Oh my…here’s my first shot at reflecting publicly through Soulpancake:

Life is here.  It’s happening right now.  What are you going to do?

I believe we all have a CHOICE; the choice to take the next step.  We can either choose to fail or succeed.  Granted, failure is on the pathway of success, and if we fail, we have a choice to stand back up and continue onward.

-Everything falls into place.
-Life is short, so why not make the most of it?
-I should contribute while I’m here.
-We all have an opportunity to reach our greatest potential.

We all possess the power to CHOOSE.  And the question is, how will you use your greatest super power?
Find your STRENGTHS.  Make an IMPACT.  Be a HERO.

-It is important to have patience today, because “It you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss [life]”
-All we really truly have is time…and yet “…all you need is love.”

Woah!  This stuff is deep.  And to be honest, I’m not sure if it makes sense.  I’m not sure this is a concrete philosophy, but it’s something at least.  I’ll dig a little deeper with the next topic!  Maybe I’ll finalize it some more.
 
The world is filled with possibility.  One just has to reach out and take their fair share.
